Importing and Exporting
Importing and Exporting of domain information and settings is one of the most powerful and unique features of the Domain Administration Tool. It allows managers of Windows-NT domains to automate tedious tasks and to create management reports or even security backups of your domain.
How does it work:
With the Domain Administration Tool you can export information about users, groups, files and servers as displayed in the various Tab-sheets. The Domain Administration Tool will create a tab-delimited file containing all information. You can use this file to create reports or query your information by using a spreadsheet or database program. An MS-Access database with example reports is available on the CD-Rom and on our websites.
You can also import tab-delimited files to create and update users and groups. When you start importing such a file the import wizard will guide you through the process.
