Viewing Events
The Domain Administration Tool allows you to get a full overview of all the events posted in the events logs of Windows-NT. You can either look at a single event log or a combination off all logs. Through this, in combination with the sort, find and filter functions of the tool, you van quickly track down problems on your systems.
If you view the events you get an output like this:
The columns are self-explantory.
To create extensive reports on your event-logs, or to store these vents for long-term analyses, use the export and/or copy capabilities.
You could use another Pukka freeware command line tool, ReadEvents, which allows you to dump and search for events from the command line. This tool support other event logs available in W2K.
