Viewing the Simple Rights Dump
The Domain Administration Tool allows you to view a simple dump of all files with their owners and set rights. You gain access to this function through the files TAB. When you browse the Domain Administration Tool will search the selected partition for file and directory ownership's and report on the set rights. You set the partition to be browsed in the files settings dialog. This of course will only work on NTFS partitions.
This function is especially useful in combination with the Export functionality of the Domain Administration Tool. With this combination you can use normal office programs to analyse and report on usage and possible security problems.
IMPORTANT:
This function can seriously effect the performance of the server on which the ACL's are browsed. Refer to the section on setting Browse Priorities for more information on how to change the performance characteristics.
